Nofan Unveils All-Copper CR-95C Silent CPU Heatsink

Silent PC cooling solutions expert Nofan is ready with an all-copper variant of its CR-95 fanless CPU heatsink. Called the CR-95C, the heatink retains the distinct hamster-wheel shape that's optimized for passive cooling. Measuring 180 x 180 x 148 mm (WxDxH), the cooler weighs a little over a kilogram, at 1020 g. Despite its dimensions, particularly its weight, it can only handle processors with TDP up to 100W (95W chips with mild OC could run, too). Its design consists of an octagonal copper (mirror-finish) base, from which two copper heat-pipes emerge, which twine through the copper fin stack. The CR-95C from Nofan is slated for early-June.

my god....put a blower inside of that thing, seal up the bottom and watch the temps go NOWHERE!!! i know thats not the point of this thing but you gotta think this thing fanned properly could keep up with the best of'em...or be the best of'em

i do have a 230v fan, if i mount it in that thing, maybe i get good temps xd, a blower fan i have like reference geforce/amd cards

No not really my bet with a fan this would get nowhere as near a hs like a D14. This is designed for fanless optimal only.

It looks nice but i don't think it can compare to noctua/thermalright high end coolers wich most are not all cooper.
I believe thermalright made an all cooper TRUE once that weight so much it could brake the MB, other than the price and weight it wasn't such a breaktrough in temps to make it viable.

compared to a proper loop, thats rubbish... they really need to advance aircoolers in technology, or i will never get one again... one by one, they are laughable against even a mediocre water loop...pff

When I first saw the Rocket I thought it was too big and obtrusive in all directions. According to specs the Rocket is 112 x 112mm. This one is 180 x 180 mm, WTF.

Not sure why you would use A CPU heatsink when you have watercooling.. tho .. lol

e7400 @ 3.8Ghz, i3 530 @ 4.04 and even a i5 750 @ 3.6

Old Zalman fans had the same problem. A lot of HSF's around the early to mid 2000's were really damn heavy.
